Branch Program

At 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 12th we will gather to learn “What’s the Community Role in RMAPI?” from Catherine Thomas, who serves on the Community Advisory Council of the Rochester-Monroe County Anti-Poverty Initiative (RMAPI). This meeting is free and open to the public. It will be held on Monday, November 12th at 7:00 p.m. in room 204C at the Perinton Community Center, 1350 Turk Hill Road, Fairport.

The mission of RMAPI is to serve as a multi-sector community collaborative whose aim is to improve the quality of life in our area by reducing poverty and increasing self-sufficiency. There are three guiding principles of the organization:

Catherine Thomas will provide us with an update on their progress in reaching goals and explain the work of the community liaison. She is the Acting Director of the Monroe County Children’s Center and holds a Social Work degree from Syracuse University and a Master’s in Health Professions Education form the University of Rochester. Catherine serves on several boards including the Black Women’s Leadership Forum, the Women’s Initiative Supporting Health Community Advisory Board, Turning Points, and RMAPI.
